Abstract of Canserina Kurnia's Colloquium Presentation
"Conservation of the Bornean Orangutans and the Use of GIS"

Canserina Kurnia is an Instructor at ESRI. Her presentation is based on her experience as a volunteer for Orangutan Foundation International (OFI), teaching GIS to their Indonesian staff.

In this seminar, Canserina Kurnia will talk about how GIS helps OFI to protect the most significant remaining orangutan refuge at Tanjung Puting National Park- Kalimantan, Indonesia. Canserina will be speaking about orangutans, the threats to orangutan habitat and the special features of OFI’s GIS project.
