
The Ecosystem Management Decision Support (EMDS) system is an application framework for knowledge-based decision support of ecological assessments at any geographic scale.
EMDS integrates state-of-the-art
geographic information system (GIS) as well as knowledge-based
reasoning and decision modeling technologies in the Microsoft Windows®
environment to provide decision support for a substantial portion of
the adaptive management process of ecosystem management.

The EMDS development team, now a private non-profit consortium, will be putting on a Preconference Seminar on Sunday, 3 August, at the 2008 ESRI User Conference in San Diego, CA (San Diego Convention Center, August 4-8,2008).
Registration to the User Conference is required to attend the session (please visit http://www.esri.com/events/uc/ to register). A check box on the registration form also is provided to indicate if you are interested in attending the session.

5. Discussion with users on a budget model for future training and development (2:00 to 3:00 PM)

If you need to use EMDS with ArcGIS 9.2 ASAP, you may try the EMDS 3.2 "Emergency Version".
The EMDS User Forums are currently being migrated from the Yahoo! Groups "EMDS User Group" to a new system hosted and maintained by the Redlands Institute at the University of Redlands.
